injection moulded wood

Biocomposites are mouldable materials made up of natural fibers (commonly wood) bonded together with either natural or synthetic adhesives. These materials provide an outlet for agricultural by-products and industrial waste such as wheat straw and recycled newspapers.

The Treeplast golf tee is made up of 50–70% wood, crushed corn and natural resins. The material can be processed with conventional moulding equipment and is fully biodegradable.
